Today, Western is an acute care hospital that is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC) and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). All referrals for admissions come from one the four Community Mental Health Centers serving in the four regions of Western Kentucky. Our organization has exceeded expectations and been named a Joint Commission Top Performer for 2012, 2013 and 2014.
